Nominate RVHS for a $10K Grant, Deadline August 17

Ridge View has a chance at a $10,000 AdoptAClassroom.org grant for school supplies for our teachers and students! Now until next Saturday, August 17, you can nominate Ridge View for the chance to win a $10,000 grant from Burlington Stores on AdoptAClassroom.org. The more nominations our school receives, the better our chances to win!

Free/Reduced Is More Than for Meals

Did you know that students who qualify for Free/Reduced meals also are able to get fee reductions on college applications and the ACT/SAT tests?  This is true.  College application and ACT/SAT test fees can be reduce or waived in full if the student receives Free/Reduced meals.  To receive these incentives, you must apply for the Richland Two Meal Value Plan.  All students, returning and new, MUST apply for the Meal Value Plan (MVP) each year.   

Online Application and Paper Application (English and Spanish versions) are available. Please complete only (1) application per Household.  Use one of the options below to return your completed paper application:

Come dive into fun with a science, technology, engineering, arts, math, and medical focus. You will not just learn about STEAMM  . . . You MAKE it! You CREATE it! You BUILD it!  Some of the activities will include a bottle rocket design and launch, Barbie bungee jump, and DNA discovery.

ACADEMICS: Addington attends 4H Leadership in DC


Congratulations to Scholars Academy Magnet for Business and Law rising junior Emilei Addington, who is a 4H Pinckney Leadership DC Scholar.  The 4-H Pinckney Leadership program is a program designed for middle and high school students who are looking to develop their leadership abilities and awareness in civic engagement. Founded after the late Senator, Clementa Pinckney, the program aims to set forth the standards and principals valued by Senator Pinckney. Their goal is to empower students to serve with compassion, lead with humility, and inspire others through integrity.  During the trip she had the opportunity to meet Representatives Clyburn and Omar and see first hand the legislative process.

2019-20 Free/Reduced Meal Application, Apply Today

All students, returning and new, are eligible to apply for the Meal Value Plan (MVP), which may help your child/children receive school meals for free or at a reduced price.  Returning students MUST reapply or all meal prices will automatically change to full price.  New students are responsible for paying regular breakfast/lunch prices until benefits from their MVP application are issued. 

Online Applications are the quickest and easiest way to submit applications is to use the new Richland Two Online Meal Application. This allows you to check the status of your application online as well.  Click here to complete and submit the Richland Two Online Meal Application.

Paper Applications (English and Spanish versions) must be filled out in their entirety and returned to your child’s school cafe manager. ALL sections on the application must be completed to prevent delays in the approval process for your child.  Please complete only (1) application per Household.  You have several options to return your completed application to Richland District Two.

The formal picture will also serve as the picture for the Ridge View 2019-2020 Senior ID card. Only photographs taken by Strawbridge Studios will be in the 2019-2020 Ridge View Yearbook. There is no cost to take the formal picture.

Summer Hours for School Counseling Office

Ridge View counselors have staggered work schedules throughout the summer.  Although counselors will be available to answer your questions Monday – Thursday from 8 AM to 4 PM, they might not be your assigned counselor.  Should you need to speak with a counselor or register a student, please call the School Counseling office at 803.699.2999 ext. 84217.  Registration times for new students is 9 AM – 3 PM, Tuesdays and Thursdays, by appointment only.
