ACADEMICS: What is Career Ready 101?

Career Ready 101 is a program that will help your students prepare for their future careers.  The prescribed lessons that he/she will receive after taking the pretests will contain skills and concepts that can be practiced and used in any occupation.  There will also be incentives for those students who make at least 5s on all three sections of the ACT WorkKeys, which is scheduled in March.  The Career Ready 101 pretest will be next Tuesday, January 26th.  All students will test in their Advisory classes and receive their testing locations in their school emails.

ATHLETICS: B-Team & JV Basketball Away at Blythewood

Our B-team Boys, Junior Varsity Boys and Girls basketball teams will be playing against rival Blythewood at Blythewood this evening. The JV girls will tip off at 5:30 pm followed by the B-team boys at 6:45 and the JV boys at 8 pm. Come on out and support the future of our basketball program as they take on the Bengals. Go Blazers!

ATHLETICS: Wrestling Tonight!

The Blazer wrestling team will be competing this evening against Barnwell and Lower Richland high schools starting at 6 pm in the RVHS gym. Come on out and support your Blazers in what will be a great night of wrestling. Go Blazers!

ACADEMICS: Preparing for The ACT WorkKeys

On Tuesday, January 26th, all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students will take the Career Ready 101 pretest.  This test will help students prepare for the ACT WorkKeys in March by providing prescribed lessons based on their pretest score.  The pretest and the ACT WorkKeys will include lessons on Applied Mathematics, Locating Information, and Reading for Information.  Your student's score on the pretest  and the prescribed lessons will appear immediately after he/she finishes all pretests.  Students are asked to check their email and the morning announcements each day for more information about The ACT WorkKeys and Career Ready 101.

REMINDER: ACT Workshop Next Week

There will be an ACT Workshop next Thursday, January 28th from 8:30-3:30 in the Library Commons. The cost is $40. For more information or to sign up, please see Mrs. Aldighieri in room D-95.
