ACTIVITIES: Prom Tickets on Sale

Prom tickets are now on sale! Tickets will be sold in the hall outside of the book room on Tuesday's and Thursday's during lunch, and will only be sold to juniors and seniors with a current Ridge View I.D.  Tickets cost $25 during the month of December, and will go up by $10 each month (ex. $35 in January). If you would like to invite a guest that does NOT attend Ridge View, then you must complete the prom date request form available at the ticket sales table, from Ms. Wimmer (C-76) or outside of Student Activities (M-141). Your date must be aged 20 or under at the time of the prom in order to attend. If you have any questions, see Ms. Wimmer (C-76) or Ms. Goings (M-141). The deadline to purchase tickets is April 8, 2015. Tickets needed to be purchased after this date will cost $100 per ticket with no exceptions.

ACTIVITIES: JROTC Military Ball

Attentions past, former and future JROTC Cadets. JROTC will be hosting its 18th Annual Military Ball on March 7th 2015. Tickets are now on sale for $25 for individuals or $20 each for a couple. Tickets will increase in price as time goes on, so buy now! See MAJ England or 1SG Cannon for tickets.

ACTIVITIES: Polar Express Community Night Thursday

Ridge View's Junior Class will be hosting a movie night on Thursday, December 18th at 6:00 pm showing the holiday movie the Polar Express. Please wear school appropriate pajamas to the movie and sip on hot chocolate and sugar cookies as you enter the theater. Tickets are $3 and the event is open to any age. Every time a bell rings a name will be drawn for prizes to be given away in the lobby at the end of the movie. Please make plans to enjoy this community event.

REMINDER: Band Spaghetti Dinner Tomorrow Night

The Blazer Band will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner in the RVHS Cafeteria on Tuesday, December 16th which will include meat and meatless sauces, salad, and bread. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for Children 10 and under. Dine with us or take outs are welcome.

Scholarship Opportunity for Seniors

The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 303 is offering an opportunity to win a scholarship in the amount of $500.  Applications must be received by January 15, 2015.  The scholarship winner will be announced on April 15, 2015.  Click the image to review the scholarship requirements and determine the materials needed to apply.  

First Annual RVHS Organizational Social Tomorrow Night

Parents of students who are members of clubs, athletics and honors organizations are cordially invited to attend the First Annual Ridge View High School Organizational Social sponsored by the Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) and School Improvement Council (SIC) on Monday, December 15th at 7:00 pm in the RVHS cafeteria. Please come out and meet other Booster Club and Organization Representatives as well as your new 2014-2015 PTSO and SIC officers and board members. We hope to see you there.

ATHLETICS: Bojangles' Bash A Success

The Bojangles' Bash II concluded yesterday after a slate of five games. Northwestern (SC) defeated Chesnee (SC) 73-49 in the opening game followed by Carlisle (VA) beating Gray Collegiate (SC) 75-63. Charlotte's Northside Christian (NC) was victorious over AC Flora (SC) 70-53, which was ranked #1 in South Carolina's AAA classification. Host Ridge View lost to Florida's Zion Lutheran 80-41 before Dreher (SC) closed out the evening with a win over Keenan (SC) 68-58. The tournament was a great success, and we would like to thank Tony Birch and Bojangles' for their sponsorship of this event. For additional event coverage, click on the image.
