The Scholars Academy Magnet for Business and Law sophomores had a great kick-off on Monday, September 16, 2019, with Mr. O’Neil from the Richland Two design studio for our school redesign projects. This is the students first intensive research project, in which they identify a problem, do a literature review to see if it is wide-spread, conduct focus groups to determine causes and possible solutions, conduct stakeholder interviews to verify the validity of possible solutions, ideate, prototype, and pitch! We can’t wait to see some of these ideas implemented next semester. Stay tuned! #authenticlearning #outsidethebox #publicEd

Ridge View High, A 2019 Certified Magnet School
Ridge View High School has been recognized as a 2019 nationally Certified Magnet School. The certification process was rigorous and our magnet directors, Mrs. Jennifer McLeod-Crady, Institute of Health Sciences Magnet Director, and Mrs. Nicole Walker, Scholars Academy Magnet for Business and Law, worked hard to ensure our programs met the National Magnet School Standards of Excellence, as set by the National Institute for Magnet School Leadership. Parents and community members can be confident that each nationally certified magnet school, no matter where it is located, is held to these same standards.
