VIEWCHELLA: Homecoming 2019 was a huge success! Thank you to all of the students and staff who participated in the dress days and lunch activities throughout the week. Alumni made the Friday night game special by returning to cheer on the Blazers as they defeated Richland Northeast. Please congratulate our Homecoming Princess Breon Blanding, Homecoming Price Tramonty Major, Homecoming King Michael Wright, and Homecoming Queen Mya Middleton!

ATHLETICS: Cross Country Team stepping to the Next Level
Cross Country has been competing at the NextLevel , rebuilding and reloading consistently thru the last couple of weeks.
They ran well at the Low Country Invitational and Lugoff-Elgin HS meet, where Junior Darrin Williams finished 2nd overall. The Cross Country team competed in the Wendy's Invitational in Charlotte, NC where almost every one ran their ever first 5K!
The Varsity Boys and Senior/ Captain Jada Mack and 4 other female runners competed in the Disney Cross Country Classic this past weekend, and they finished 9th out of 22 teams. Congratulations!
Coaches are very excited about Region prospects!

SCHOLARSHIP: Voice of Democracy Scholarship Due Oct. 31st
Submissions are now being accepted for the "Voice of Democracy" scholarship for next year! Students who will be in 9-12 grades by the deadline of October 31, 2019 are eligible to apply. Check out the details here!

ACTIVITIES: Jostens Returns on Wednesday for Seniors!
On Wednesday members of the class of 2020 will be placing orders for graduation items. Seniors should report to M-141 during their assigned time found here. This is also the opportunity for changes to be made to any of the reservations submitted last week and order a class ring or other jewelry.
If Seniors miss their appointment or cannot attend at the time scheduled, they should come between 11:45 AM and 12:30 PM. A deposit of $60 is required to place an order. Jostens accepts cash, debit/credit cards, and checks. Parents are welcome to attend! Contact Ms. Fennell at pfennell@richland2.org with any questions.
