The Children's Book Drive that was conducted as part of last weeks Reading Celebration was a huge success. A grand total of 664 books were collected from our student body. Children's Garden, a daycare for homeless children, will receive 247 Pre-K books. Another recipient of our student's generosity will be Epworth Children's Home, a residential children's home. Epworth will receive 339 books for K-8 level students. The remainder of the donated books were adult books, and will become part of Ridge View's Silent Sustained Reading Program's library to benefit our own students here at The View. Way to go Blazer's on making the book drive such a success.
