RVHS parents and guardians, local businesses, and community members are vital to our success. South Carolina requires each school to have an Student Improvement Council (SIC) that meets regularly to advise the principal and plan improvements for their community school. This is a chance to be intimately involved in the school and also to involve community members who do not have students enrolled in the school.
The Ridge View SIC has two openings available for elected parents. If you are a parent of a Ridge View student and are interested in being on the SIC ballot in the next month, please send your name and a brief bio to Mrs. Amelia McKie, SIC Chairperson, at abutlermckie@gmail.com.
If you know a retiree, grandparent, or business, civic, or social organization leader who may be interested in serving as an appointed SIC member, please contact Mrs. Amelia McKie as well.
