The Blazer football team defeated Lugoff-Elgin 41-14 this past Friday Night. The Blazers gained a total of 494 yards on offense with 326 coming on the ground. Running Back Walter Napper led the rushing attack with 195 yards on 27 carries and scored three touchdowns. Marcus Reaster-Glover was also had a big game for the Blazers by contributing four catches for 78 yards for a 19.5 yard average.
On defense, the Blazers held Lugoff to only 213 yards, 133 on the ground and 80 in the air. Defensive Back Jelani Russell (6 tackles, 4 deflections), Linebacker Malcolm Montgomery (9 tackles), and Linebacker Tevin Adams (8 tackles, 1 TFL & 1 sack) led the Blazer defense.
One of the biggest highlights of the game was Daryl Shamlee returning a punt for 60 yards for a touchdown.
