Reardon Recognized as "Outstanding Youth Individual Fundraiser"

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) recognized Ridge View freshman Megan Reardon as an "Outstanding Youth Individual Fundraiser" at a luncheon on November 20th. Megan was nominated by Nalan Miles of the Fort Jackson Red Cross, where Megan has volunteered for four years. Megan is the vice president of VolunTeens, which promotes the Red Cross mission in the military and local communities. Among her many projects, Megan has chaired a health event for influenza prevention, supported a fire prevention event, raised funds through a gift wrap event, and prepared Valentine gift bags for VA Dorn hospital residents. She is trained in CPR and also volunteers with the S.C. Special Olympics, Richland Library, Palmetto Animal Assistance Life Service, and Girl Scouts. Megan is a BioHealth Magnet student, and a member of the Ridge View Cross Country and Track & Field teams.
