Students in Dr. Maynes' Chemistry 1 class have been studying the chemistry of matter, with a project-based objective of deciding what killed fish in the Snake River in the fictitious town of Riverwood. Students formed teams around roles in the town: the Town Council, the Miners, the Agricultural owners, etc. using their Thinkpads to help them analyze selected date representing things influencing life in the river: rainfall, runoff, contaminates, etc. and prepare Google Presentations outlining relevant background and their analysis of the individual data elements.
