Mr. McMicken's English Honors class recently presented their 20 Time Projects. 20 Time is when workers are allowed one workday per week to work on a project of their passion. In this case, the students were given every Friday this semester to work on their projects. Here is what they accomplished.
- Kelsey Ballou: End The "R" Word (brought awareness to not using the term "retarded" in a derogatory manner)
- Marion Brown: Lean On Me (designed a new crutch)
- Dru Chambers: Life Lesson (collected clothing for Columbia homeless)
- Shelby Carmichael: Health and Communities (spread health awareness and training sessions)
- Aisha Clay: Responsible Reasoning (created website for personal financing)
- Madison Felschow: One Young Author (published her own book)
- Darrell Goodwin: Wings to Heaven (trained to increase vertical jump for dunking in basketball)
- Jacinda Heo: Guarding Hope (started RV Interact Club and raised over $1,000 for Palmetto Place Children's Shelter)
- Imbre Johnson: Operation - Get Healthy (began eating healthy, cooking and working out with family)
- Bryce Patrick: Next Level Player (created baseball recruiting program)
- Tavaris Sims: Beginning of Beating Lupus (created website for Lupus awareness)
