This is the 11th in a series of 16 posts highlighting books on our Summer Reading list. In a few weeks, students will select one book from the list to enjoy reading over the summer and to take part in our Summer Reading Celebration Day on September 17, 2014. This post features Getting Away with Murder: The True Story of the Emmett Till Case by Chris Crowe from our "Reality Reads" category. This was the case that put the Jim Crow ways of the South in the national spotlight. This book contains 40 pictures of the events surrounding Till's murder.
