The Blazer Academy is a one-year program that strives to help our freshmen make a positive transition into high school. The Academy fosters strong parent-teacher-student relationships through consistent communication and monitoring of students' progress academically, emotionally, and socially. The lead teacher, Ms. Sharon James, and the administrators, Mr. Allen Upchurch and Mrs. Laura Peterson, not only hold high expectations for students' learning and social development, but adopt a caring and supportive approach to student problems.
On June 6th, the Blazer Academy held a Parent meeting for the Class of 2018 in which they explained the program, discussed the keys to a successful freshmen year, and presented the English and Math summer requirements for all freshmen. If you missed this meeting, you can view their presentation by clicking on the image. The Summer Math Calendars, which are due at the first week of school, are also available on the Blazer Academy website.
