ACADEMICS Spotlight: Physics Kite Making Project

On Thursday, May 22nd, Ms. Jurgens and her AP Physics B students trekked down to the track to test fly kites they made by hand as part of their study of pressure and tension. The three day project was a fun, yet challenging one, because the students were only allowed to use straws, string, glue and tissue paper to build the kites. Many students got to see their creations fly as high as the stadium lights while others unraveled an entire spool of kite string as their kites soared in the wind. Great job Blazers!
