Don't forget to vote in the runoffs today. The race for the state superintendent of education remains in the spotlight. Based on the June 10th primaries we have candidates on the ballot from both the Democratic and Republican parties. The Democratic candidates are Sheila Gallagher and Tom Thompson. The Republican candidates are Sally Atwater and Molly Spearman.
Even if you did not vote in the primary, you can vote today. If you did not vote on June 10th, you have the choice of voting in either the Democratic or Republican runoff. You will not be able to vote in both. If you did vote in the primary, you must vote in the same party for the runoff.
Please remember your vote is important. The next state superintendent will set the direction for public education in our state for the next four years. Please encourage your family, friends, and colleagues to vote today. Polls will be open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. And again YOUR VOTE COUNTS!!
