National Hispanic Heritage Month began September 15th and ends on October 15th. During this time, the nation recognized the contributions made and the important presence of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the United States and celebrate their heritage and culture.
Hispanics have had a profound and positive influence on our country through their strong commitment to family, faith, hard work, and service. They have enhanced and shaped our national character with centuries of traditions that reflect the multi-ethnic and multicultural customs of their community. To celebrate this rich heritage, the Spanish National Honor Society created posters for the halls and will be playing Hispanic music in the Main Hallway every Wednesday during lunch. The students are also going to teach others how to dance the salsa, merengue, and other Hispanic dances. Mrs. Edouard will aslo give a Zumba demo.
