In the book The List by Siobhan Vivian, a list of the prettiest and ugliest girls are posted throughout the school, but on our Summer Reading Celebration Day, it was all about being positive in this book group. Students participated in a book discussion and activities related to building positive self-esteem including listening to songs promoting positive body image such as "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera, and then created a dance or skit to a song of their choosing. Students also made their own positive lists about Ridge View and our students.
