The 2nd Annual Facebook Road show presented by the SC Attorney General's Office was held at Ridge View High School on Thursday, October 9th. Brooke Oberwetter, a Facebook Representative, and Attorney General Alan Wilson discussed the pros and cons of social media, internet safety, Facebook privacy controls, and digital citizenship. Students also received information on Facebook programs and partnerships that help promote online safety.
Attorney General Alan Wilson was entered into office in January 2011 and became the nation’s youngest man elected in this position. His focus is on keeping South Carolina’s families safe, and wants to ensure that South Carolina is one of the safest places to live, work, and raise a family. The Ridge View Blazers enjoyed listening to Ms. Oberwetter and Attorney General Wilson; and even took several pictures to post on Ridge View’s social media sites.
