Sophomore BioHealth and Allied Health students take Project Lead the Ways Human Body Systems class. The central theme of the HBS class focuses on how the body systems work together to maintain homeostasis and good health. Students design experiments, investigate the structures and functions of body systems and build body systems using clay. Body systems are also studied in 7th grade, so our students made a presentation to 7th graders at Longleaf Middle School last week regarding the functions of different regions of the brain, and how to build regions of the brain using clay.
