On February 3rd, the Carolina Alliance for Technology (CAT) Computer Science class took a field study to Intel Corporation. Intel Columbia is home to the Columbia Design Center, Intel's premiere research and development location in the Southeast U.S. Product development teams representing many Intel organizations are focused on the validation of new high-end desktop, server and graphics products. It proved to be an excellent opportunity to not only talk with experts about the technology of the future but the pathway to working on the cutting edge as an Intel employee. CAT students also had a hands on experience building an Ethernet cable thanks to It-Ology (pictured) and lunch was served compliments of EngenuitySC.
