ACADEMICS: World Cultures Food Project

Students in Mr. Crowley's World Geography classes took part in a World Cultures Food Project on March 5th. Students had to make presentations about various cultures around the world including an indigenous recipe. More than half of the students actually prepared their authentic dish for the class to sample. The students really enjoyed the project, and most left the classroom very full. Some of the dishes included: Australian Anzac Biscuit, Caribbean Peanut Punch, Chinese Deep Fried Donuts, English Crumpets, English Sausage Rolls, Greek Baklava, Haitian Chicken in Sauce, Haitian Rice & Beans, Honduran Pupusas, Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Jamaican Sorrell (Drink), Japanese Soba with Toasted Sesame Seed Sauce, Japanese Teriyaki Chicken & Rice, Indian Besan Barfi, Italian Lasagne, Italian Meatballs, Mexican Enchilada's, and a Mexican Sandwich.
