Congratulations to seniors Chandler Bailey and Amanda Hall on being named National Merit Semifinalists. The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships. High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), which serves as an initial screen of approximately 1.5 million entrants each year. To become a semifinalist, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation begins by taking the top 50,000 scores. Out of this group, 16,000 are chosen as National Merit Semifinalists based on additional requirements and student applications. Finalists will be selected in February of 2016. Congratulations Chandler and Amanda!
