Goose Creek scored on the first play of the game and held a 14 point lead before the Blazers began mounting a comeback. Running Back Ali Kelley ran for a 140 yards including at 24 yard TD run with less than 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter to give the Blazers a 28-21 lead. The Gators scored in the final minute of the game. They could have tried to kick a PAT to tie the score to send the game into overtime. Instead, the Gators went for two to try to win the game outright, but the Blazer defense held on for a 28-27 upset. Congratulations to Coach Perry Parks on his first win as the Blazers head coach and to all of our Blazer football players on their first victory of the season. Way to go Blazers!
