Donation Station Collects Over 4,000 Items for Flood Victims

Thank you to all who donated and volunteered!
On October 8th, Ridge View collected supplies for Richland Two families affected by flooding. This was a huge success as our community donated over 4,000 items such as cleaning items, baby items, paper items, bedding, towels, toiletries, water, clothing, and monetary donations. We thank you for your overwhelming generosity.

We would also like to thank the 161 Blazer students, 53 Blazer staff members, and 25 additional volunteers from the RSD2 District Office, RVHS PTSO, and students from AC Flora H.S., Blythewood H.S,, Crayton M.S., Center for Knowledge, Irmo H.S., Polo Road E.S., and Westwood H.S. A big shout out also goes to McDonald's for donating chicken sandwiches to our students for lunch. Lastly, a special thank you to RVHS social worker Morgan Daniels and JROTC instructor Major Gene England for organizing this event. "It was a truly spirited day for all involved," according to Principal Dr. Brenda Mack-Foxworth. "Teens putting away their cells for an extended time period is inspiring. Our Blazers came together in order to serve a need in our community. Thank you to each of you who volunteered."
