Due to hazardous conditions caused by flooding in the Midlands area, all Richland Two schools, centers and facilities will be closed on Tuesday, October 6th and Wednesday, October 7th.
District officials continue to monitor road conditions as well as follow guidance provided by county and staff emergency officials. There are many damaged roads in our district, which will require substantial changes to our bus routes. We are making the decision to close school at least through Wednesday in order to fully assess transportation safety concerns, which continue to change.
The district will keep parents, students and staff informed about plans for the remainder of the week by using the district's Blackboard Connect system. Individuals can also get information about school cancellations and delays by checking the Richland Two website at www.richland2.org and staying tuned to local media reports for updates.
