ACADEMICS: Magnet Students Travel to Greenwood Genetic Center
Junior BioHealth and Allied Health Science Magnet students traveled to the Greenwood Genetic Center recently. The students participated in laboratory exercise that included isolating their own DNA, simulating the polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and analyzing their results from a gel electrophoresis. Students also learned the importance of folic acid during pregnancy.
