Congratulations to Arlicia Bush on signing a national letter of intent to attend Virginia Tech University. Bush will be competing on their Track & Field team. Arlicia is one of the most decorated Track & Field athletes in school history. She is a 2-time defending state champion in the 400 Meter Dash and the 4x400 Meter Relay. She and her teammates have set the state record in the 4x400 Meter Relay in each of the last two years. Their record time is currently 3:48.81, but they hope to break that time this spring. Arlicia also competed at the New Balance High School Outdoor National Championships last year where she placed 7th in the nation in the 400 Meters, 11th in the 200 Meters and 11th in the 4x400 Meter Relay. Her personal bests are 24.50 in the 200 Meters and 54.06 in the 400 Meters. According to her Coach, Warren Eure, "Arlicia is a great competitor and leader. Over the years that I have known her, she has always had that drive to be great. I am glad that she has found a home that fits her where she can continue to grown not only as an athlete, but as a maturing young lady."
