Ridge View Seniors Kaci Merriwether-Hawkins, Ki'Yona McClary, Faith McKie and Ronteona Willis enjoyed spending time in a team building event with fellow members of the Emeralds of Excellence Scholarship Program and Debutante Cotillion sponsored by the Upsilon Omega Omega Irmo chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. The event, which took place on December 12th, was hosted by Wine and Design Craft Store located at Richland Mall. An inviting atmosphere welcomed and engaged the participants as they designed and painted their very own canvas print featuring a trendy young lady with a captivating smile and a lot of personality. Soft laughter and light chatter filled the studio as each participant took special care to produce a work of art that reflected her very own uniqueness. Mrs. Jamesetta Lovett and Mrs. Roslyn Cook-Hillian, sororiety members and two of the coordinators of the event, commented that the goal of this activity was to promote team bonding and camaraderie among the program participants.
