The Girls Track & Field team placed 5th at the S.C. State Championships led by 3-time 400 Meter state champ Arlicia Bush (54.99) while the boys were represented by sophomore Tyler Mitchell, who placed 7th overall in the 200 Meter Dash (22.32). Bush, a senior, also placed 5th in the 200 Meters (24.76). Sophomore Johnaida Eliscar made it a 1-2 Blazer finish in the 400 by taking the silver medal in 56.68. Bush and Eliscar were joined by senior Faith McKie and sophomore LaNaya Martin to bring home Ridge View's 3rd consecutive 4 x 400 Meter Relay state championship in a time of 3:50.09. McKie turned in a pair of excellent individual performance by placing 2nd in the 400 Meter Hurldes (62.42), and 4th in the 100 Meter Hurdles (15.01). Eliscar also competed in three events as she teamed up with fellow sophomore Amena Ogbonna and juniors Octavya Brooks and Mya Ray to place 7th in the 4 x 800 Meter Run (9:57.91).
