ACADEMICS: Forensic Anthropologist Speaks to IHS Students
Dr. Bill Stephens, forensic anthropologist for the Richland County Coroner's Office spoke to the sophomore Institute for Health Sciences students about bone collections and determining the age, height, ethnicity, and gender of bones. He also described the precision and detail needed to recognize bone fragments especially of mass graves and the 911 bombing sites. The students also discovered how to determine the entrance and exit wounds of gunshot victims.
