ACADEMICS: IHS Magnet Sophomores Dissect Eyes

Communication is vital to the human body. Communication can occur electrically through nerve impulses, chemically by hormone secretion, and visually allowing us to communicate our feelings and emotions. The sophomore Institute for Health Sciences students dissected cow eyes to explore the anatomy of the eye. Students identified the location and function of the lens, cornea, retina and the optic nerve.
