Celebrate J. Gordon Coogler’s 152nd
birthday by composing a poem! In honor
of J. Gordon Coogler, the Board of Blythewood, and in celebration of National
Poetry Month, the BRAVO Blythewood Arts Council is seeking poetry from students
and adults to publish during the month of April. To submit a poem, include your name, age
and grade level, phone number, and school that you attend if you are a student. The contest rules are:
Poems must be original (which means you have to write it yourself) and may be on any topic up to 20 lines in length.
Up to three poems will be selected for each age group category for publication in the Country Chronicle. Categories include grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12 and Adult.
Submitted poems must be previously unpublished.
Only one submission per participant is allowed.
Poems will be judged by BRAVO Blythewood based on originality and creativity.
No illustrations, please.
Submissions must be received no later than Monday, April 17th at 5:00 pm.
