To meet federal regulations, English 1 EOCEP requires a new student writing component in addition to multiple-choice writing items. Students will take the Writing (TDA) portion of their English 1 EOCEP exam on December 6th. The TDA (text dependent analysis) is composed of a reading passage and writing prompt relating to that specific text. The prompt requires that students analyze the text and write an essay to provide supporting evidence from the passage. The responses will be scored using the South Carolina EOCEP TDA Scoring Guidelines.
