This year Student Activities is partnering with Allied Health Science Magnet and Blazer Academy to accomplish our goal of collecting 10,000 non-perishable food items for our Winter Wishes Harvest Hope Food Bank drive. The drive helps those families in our community while also communicating the need for healthy living, achieving the RVH Wellness Committee Vision, and sustaining the Allied Health Science garden on campus.
We are asking Ridge View students, staff, families, friends, and the community to help us meet our goal by bringing in non-perishable food items to Student Activities, your favorite teacher, your student's administrator, the Book Room, the Library Commons, or the Main Rotunda. Students are able to bring non-perishable food items to reduce library fines or detention hours or to participate in the class competition. Yes, one luck class will receive a donut party for the most non-perishable items collected. Our last day for collecting cans is Tuesday Dec 12th.
How do you reduce your detention hours? For each detention hour either bring in 3 cans or 4 packets of Ramen Noodles to your administrator. Only can goods and Ramen Noodles will be accepted to reduce hours received from tardies, ID or ECD violations, and No Hall Pass.
