Student Council and AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) are asking for your assistance with sponsoring foster children between the ages of 0 and 18 in the care of Richland County's Department of Social Services. Currently 22 out of 60 children from the Department of Social Services and 5 the 10 Ridge View students have been sponsored. of Pkease help us reach our goal of 60 DSS children and 10 Ridge View students by obtaining a foster child contract from Student Activities or the Main Office. Once the form is submitted, sponsors will receive a child's name and wish list and can begin shopping for gifts totaling $60. In addition to purchasing gifts on the child's wish list, don't forget to purchase a teddy bear. All gifts and teddy bears must be submitted to Student Activities by Tuesday, December 12th. Our Foster Child Party final celebration with food Foster Child Party is Thursday, December 14th from 6:00 - 7:30 PM in our Cafeteria Rotunda.
