Wednesday, December 13th the Blazers Wrestling team squared off against South Aiken and Silver Bluff High Schools. In the first match of the evening, South Aiken was able to hold on to an early 15-0 lead, ultimately finishing with a 48-30 victory. In the second match, Silver Bluff got out to an early 12-0 lead, but when it was all said and done the Blazers were able to reel off 60 straight points to win 60-12. The team is currently 4-5 on the season with a busy week ahead with 5 matches at Ft. Mill on Saturday and 3 more at Berkeley on Tuesday.
Key performers for Ridge View were: Dimitrias Chestnut (2-0, 2 pins), Jabari Hampton (2-0, 1 pin), Quentin Joseph (2-0, 2 pins), Jonathan Cardona (2-0, 2 pins), and William Johnson (2-0, 2 pins)! Special props need to be given to McKale Yanagacio, Jacob Guymon, and Jalen Franklin who all wrestled their first matches of the season and finished them off with pins!
