The Blazers Wrestlers took the mat Wednesday, November 29th night against the Brookland-Cayce Bearcats and the Hammond Skyhawks. In the first match with the Bearcats, it was a back-and-forth affair that resulted in a 39-35 loss. In the final match of the evening with the Skyhawks, the Blazers battled back from an early 6-0 deficit to come away with an exciting 39-27 win that was capped off with an aggressive pin by Mike McQueen as an exclamation point to the evening.
The Blazers were led Wednesday night with wins by Jonathan Cardona, Quentin Frost, Brandon Holliman, Jalen Jones, Jacob Shusterman, and Jurnee Dunbar against Brookland-Cayce. Against Hammond, William Johnson, Quentin Joseph, Quentin Frost, Lorenza Waiters, Donovan Keeffe, Jabari Hampton, and Mike McQueen all got wins.
