Student Council and AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) are asking for your assistance with sponsoring foster children between the ages of 0 and 18 in the care of Richland County's Department of Social Services. The goal this year is to sponsor 75 children, including Ridge View's own foster children by providing gifts from their holiday wish list. Individuals or groups can obtain a foster child contract from Student Activities or the Main Office. Once the form is submitted, sponsors will receive a child's name and wish list and can begin shopping for gifts totaling $60. In addition to purchasing gifts on the child's wish list, don't forget to purchase a teddy bear. All gifts and teddy bears must be submitted to Student Activities by Friday, December 8th.
