Internships can help give students an insiders view of a particular job while helping them learn more about the industry. Over winter break four Ridge View CAT students had the opportunity to participated in an internship/job shadowing program. Mikasia Carree and Imani Crandell interned at Richland County Sheriff Department, December 18-22, 2017. They were able to participate and observe a wide variety of careers at the Sheriffs Department. Some of their activities included the Gang Task Force and Crime Scene presentations, K-9 demonstrations, and Financial Literacy training. They were also able to participate in the regular radio program. After their internship Sheriff Lott said, "We were glad to have them with us. They brightened all of our days." Ridge View thanks Sheriff Lott and Major Snowden for creating a once in a lifetime experience for our CAT students.
