Tyler Mack-Harris and Johnaida Eliscar, CAT Seniors, were able to participate in an internship at Nephron Pharmaceuticals. Nephron Pharmaceuticals is a generic respiratory medication manufacturer that is based right here in Columbia, South Carolina. The company started in 1992 in Orlando, FL, and made the decision to relocate to Columbia last year. They specialize in blow-fill-seal manufacturing and have distributed over 1 billion doses doses of respiratory medication over the last 5 years.
Nephron is very involved in our community and has created an extensive internship program where our students are immersed as a new hire and participate in all new hire training. "Boot Camp", as the training is known, is an intensive introduction to the company's different departments - from HR to research to robotics. Ridge View and the CAT Program would like to thank you Aubrey Dooley and Brian Platt for another incredible experience for our students. Both Tyler and Johnaida said they learned so much and would love to do it again!
