Student Body President Otiana Thompson had the opportunity to speak at the Key Leaders meeting held at R2i2. She presented information about Pocket Points, an app that aims to reduce the amount of time students spend on their cell phones. She was intrigued by this app after Mrs. Cheryl Hunter, Ridge View's Technology and Learning Coach, disseminated information about it around the school. Otiana's hope is that the district will support a competition between the five high schools to earn the most points by putting down their phones and paying attention in class.
