The College Board is recognizing schools that are engaging more female students in computer science coursework with an AP Computer Science Principles Female Diversity Award and AP Computer Science A Female Diversity Award. Ridge View was one of the schools in Richland 2 recognized.
We were honored with the AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award because we have expanded girls’ access in AP computer science courses. Out of more than 18,000 secondary schools worldwide that offer AP courses, these schools are among the 685 schools to accomplish this. This honor acknowledges the amazing work Ridge View is doing to close the gender equity gap in computer science.
