ACTIVITIES: Student Council's Yazmine Latimore Elected to State Office
Congratulations are in order for Yazmine Latimore, the current President of Ridge View's Sophomore Class. At last weekend's South Carolina Association of Student Councils (SCASC) Convention, Yazmine was elected to serve as the Vice Chairman of District 4. This position requires her to assist the District Chair in planning the annual fall workshop, preside over meetings as needed, promote state membership, communicate with Student Councils at member schools, organize workshops for the fall workshop, and serve as a Junior Counselor at the summer Leadership Camp. She officially begins her duties today when she attends the turnover retreat this weekend. In addition, she will be attending the National Student Council Conference this summer.
