The SIC focus area for this year is School/Student Safety. On their behalf, guest speaker, Dr. Dawn Hiller, will present on bullying issues at Ridge View's Parent University on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 6-7 pm in the Library Commons.
Dr. Hiller is the Director of Students for the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Carolina where she implements strategies for increasing student use of services and involvement in academic support programs. In this presentation, Dr. Hiller will share her research on bullying in schools and what safeguards the state of South Carolina affords students and parents who are victims of bullying.
