From February 10 to 14, 2020, Ridge View High School will be celebrating Love is Respect Week! The purpose of this initiative is to empower young people to build healthy relationships from the moment they begin. This year’s theme is #1Thing. The aim is to get young people engaged and educate them on how to prevent and end abusive relationships.
Activities in the Main Hall
- Monday, Feb. 11: “Ribbons for Respect” -- Learn why our fight is so important for not only adolescents but for the entire community.
- Tuesday, Feb. 12: “Kisses/Cuties for Consent” -- Experience the power of consent and even earn a delicious prize.
- Wednesday, Feb. 13: “Orange Army” -- Face and nail painting in orange
- Thursday, Feb. 14: “Wear Orange” -- And tell us what "Love is..."
- Friday, Feb 15: “These Hands Don’t Hurt” - Break the cycle by making a commitment to treat your partner with respect.
