In honor of Hattie Mae Sims, the Golden Door Foundation is offering this $1,000 scholarship to support the financial needs of African American students pursuing their post-secondary education dreams and opportunities. Hattie Mae instilled a sense of community and giving in her family. She consistently reminded them "you suppose to help people".
Eligibility:
Minimum GPA of 3.0
SC High School African American Senior
Not related to a director of the Golden Door Foundation
