ACADEMICS: Senior Tyler Gadson Speaks Against Hate Crimes
On Sunday, September 6, 2020 Scholars Academy Magnet for Business and Law Senior Tyler Gadson and his magnet director Nicole Walker traveled to Mother Emanuel Church in Charleston, SC to participate in the Caravan of Love, which traveled to the site of the Orangeburg Massacre and on to the State House in Columbia to bring awareness of the need to pass a Hate Crime law in South Carolina. Currently, South Carolina is one of only three states without such a law. There are companion bills in both the House and Senate to pass the law.
