At halftime of last Friday's football game, eight contestants vied for the title of Homecoming King and Queen. Lahsen Grich and Jayla Page were crowned Homecoming King and Queen 2016. Nahzeer Pryor and Mainaya Myers were the 1st Runner-ups. Mayah Tyler received the Spirit of Ridge View Award. Da'Quan Gibson and Christine Arbois were crowned the Homecoming Prince and Princess. We would also like to congratulate Wayne Bellieveau, Jasmine Cooper and Janie York for participating. All of the contestants helped to raise $300 to benefit Ridge View Alum Raoul Jenkins. Our football team capped the evening a great week At The View with their 28-14 victory over Richland Northeast to improve to 6-1 on the season.

ACTIVITIES: Senior Class Wins Homecoming Competition

Though Hurricane Matthew disrupted our original Homecoming Week activities, our Blazer Pride was on display last week. Each of the grade level classes competed throughout the week to earn points in determining the most spirited class by participating in dress days and lunch activities. Each hallway was decorated to reflect different types of Hall of Fames including Hollywood, Music, Sports, and some of our RV alum standouts. However, once the dust settled and the points were counted, it was the Senior Class of 2017 that proved the most spirited. Special thanks goes to Ridge View's Student Council, Faculty and Staff, North Springs Blazers, JROTC, and all of the Ridge View students who planned, facilitated and participated in all of the homecoming events. Saddle up and Go Blazers!
