REMINDER: Global Gourmet on Thursday
The Global Gourmet Charity Dinner will be held on Thursday, May 4th from 5:30-7 pm in the Cafeteria Rotunda. This event will support Malaria No More, a global charity fighting to prevent the Malaria epidemic that claims the lives of 453,000 people per year. Tickets to the event are $7 for five samples of food from various world cultures and family traditions from the Ridge View community. We hope to give back to the world in a way that will make a difference. You can also plan to participate in a Silent Auction as Ridge View hopes to see that the rest of the world sees Malaria No More!
ACADEMICS: Blazers Excel on National German Exam

Over 20,000 students participated in the National German Exam, a comprehensive German assessment developed by the American Association of Teachers of German. Congratulations to the following Blazers on their performance on this exam: Kisha-Michelle Jackson, Gold on the Level 3 Exam, Kayla Allen, Silver on the Level 3 Exam, and Tyler Altman, Achievement on the Level 2 Exam, This exam, now in its 57th year, rewards students through an extensive prize program and provides a means of comparing students in all regions of the United States. Once again, congratulations Blazers!

ATHLETICS: Softball Senior Night Recap
The Lady Blazer's Softball team celebrated Senior Night on their last home game of the season on April 21st against Westwood. The Varsity won 18-3 while the JV won 9-6. Congratulations to the following Seniors who were recognized before the Varsity game: Jekaria Commander, Maya Hannah and Courtney Mickle!. Good luck in the playoffs Blazers!
ACADEMICS: Thomas & Wright Win Work Ethic Awards
Congratulations to Zaria Thomas and Brian Wright for winning the Powerade Work Ethic Award in Coach Gilmer's PE classes. According to Coach Gilmer, the students "dress out everyday and do a great job in class."
