The National Honors Society for Dance Arts is accepting applications from students interested in dance arts education. The mission of the program is to recognize outstanding artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement in students studying dance in public and private K-12 schools, dance studios, cultural and community centers, performing arts organizations, and post-secondary education institutions.
Induction into the NHSDA is based on points earned for works of merit in dance. Factors may include dance class grade point average, cooperative teamwork, motivation, outreach, choreography, performance, teaching, and production. All inductees will receive a Certificate of Induction, added prestige in scholarship applications and future resumes, wear NHSDA honor cords and gold honor pins during graduation ceremonies, and also eligible for the NDEO Artistic Merit, Leadership, and Academic Achievement Award.
